Proper setup of a committee file is essential to ensure accurate reporting that meet the disclosure requirements of the Michigan Campaign Finance Act (MCFA). To assist new filers, MERTS provides a setup wizard to ensure the proper set up of the committee file.
Select the committee type below for detailed instructions on using the setup wizard.
- Candidate Committees (2013 version)
- Independent And Political (PAC) Committees
- Political Party Committees
- Ballot Question Committees
Note: The wizard is selected only once for a new committee file and it is not necessary to go through the wizard every time the software is opened.
